Well, here it is. I’ve finally come to a point where I’m happy to release my WordPress plugin to the public. I plumped on wp-reactions for the name and 0.5 for the version number. I have a number of extra features I want to get in before version 1.0.
It is by no means complete, but the functionality that is there works 100%. At least it does now. There was a bit of a panic when it first went up because I was stupid and left out some important test cases. Oops! Oh well, live and learn. The most current version (which should work) is 0.5.2. Download wp-reactions here. With any luck you should be able to see it in action on this very post!
This is interesting! I tested it on your test version. In here, perhaps you work on a js file etc. right now because it’s off. I would be happy to add your reactions plugin to my convert units website.
Thanks for the heads-up. The js should be included in the head automatically, but for some reason it’s not. *sigh* More work!
The problem turned out to be with my theme template, not the plugin itself. The plugin relies on the wp_head hook, which my theme didn’t have.
Things like that happen to me too, usually when I change a thing in a template which directly influenced some old but related function. Then I run around trying to fix up ASAP stressing a lot
Just a thought for your reactions script; the outcome numbers could show in the center of an image (background image) ei a star/sun/flower etc., additionally plus an ‘if function’ – when the voted No. reaches say ’10+’ the image color could convert e.g. from initial yellow to a green. Just a thought perhaps practical.
Laterrrrrrrr
